The Wisconsin Badgers had a bye week this week. This means that Wisconsin did not play any games this week. So instead of analyzing a Wisconsin game, we will look at Wisconsin's huge upcoming game on Saturday. Wisconsin will be playing the number two ranked Ohio State on Saturday, October 15. As we all know, Wisconsin's defense has looked almost unstoppable. The defense has held almost every game to a very close and even matchup. The offense however has looked rather bad especially last game. Wisconsin's second string quarterback Alex Horninbrook failed countlessly to put the ball into a wide open receiver's hands. We need to generate more points of offense by both running and passing the ball. This is the only way we could beat the intimidating Ohio State. This would just be amazing if we could win. It would probably be the biggest upset this season and it would bring us up so much in the rankings. I think the Badgers have it in them to win, but I don't know if they believe that.

Badgers defense brings down a Wolverine with no mercy. |
The Badgers suffered their first lost of the season on Saturday, October 1st. It was a great game with an ending of 14-7 Wolverines. The game was rough to watch because it wasn't very entertaining, due to the very low score. Both defenses played very well, but Michigan's defense might have just looked good because Wisconsin's offense was so bad. The Badger's second string quarterback Alex Horninbrook looked awful. I mean he had so many players wide open down field, but he failed to put the ball in the correct spot. He also threw an interception which could have been avoided. I think Michigan struggled to win so much because of their kicker. He missed three field goals in a row that could've given the Wolverines 9 points. They were all in relatively comfortable distance. The Badgers defense really kept them in the game though and that just might be how it will go the rest of the season.

It was the second Badger comeback this season, this time against a number 7 ranked Michigan State team. The downfall of Michigan State was very surprising. I admit thinking that Wisconsin was going to get blown out at the beginning of the game. Little did I know the game was going to have a VERY different outcome. The score of the game was 30-6 and Wisconsin earned each and every one of their points. The Badgers had a great defensive performance, only allowing six points. What sloppy play from Michigan State, only scoring six points! I mean it looked like they were in high school in there with all of the sloppy plays and incomplete passes. It was just amazing play by both sides of the Badgers. I mean the offense scored 30 points and the defense held Michigan State to only six points. The rankings of teams these days just are never final until the end of the season. We have seen so many upsets that it's hard to tell which teams are even good anymore.

It was actually very funny watching the Zips play. Going into Saturdays game the Badgers must have already been confident because they were playing an unranked team. Following this, their confidence level greatly increased when they learned that they were playing a team called the Zips. I mean honestly, what kind of a name is Zips compared to other college football names such as Tigers, Rebels, Wolverines, and Spartans. I wonder what it feels like to lose a college football game 54-10. I'm guessing it's a pretty bad feeling.

Welcome to my blog, where I will express my love for the University of Wisconsin-Madison, specifically their athletic program. I personally am a big fan of Wisconsin. Wisconsin is my favorite state which makes Wisconsin my favorite college. My uncle played football for Wisconsin and two of my cousins have attended Wisconsin.
Going into Saturday, September 3, I would bet all the money in the world that LSU would win this game with no trouble. Fortunately, for me, I did not bet any money on the game because I would have lost a lot of money. Wisconsin won the game with a 47 yard field goal kicked by Rafael Gaglianone, ending the game with a 16-14 score. I personally was not very impressed by either side of Saturday's game. The game was sloppily played on either side including a lot of turnovers that could have been prevented. On the other side, I'm very glad and even surprised that LSU got upset by the unranked Badgers.
